The main flying area is located on the property approximately 400m from our accommodation. It comprises of a prepared grass strip with covered pit area to protect you and your models from the sun. The site is laid out to comply with FFAM guidelines with the strip heading in to the prevailing wind. The flying area located on the south side of the property so your not flying in to the sun for the majority of the day.
The designated flying area covers 80,000Sq/m (19.25 acres) which provides adequate space to fly all but the very largest or extremely fast models.
All types of models may be flown on the main area, fixed wing, helicopter, gliders, fuel driven or electric. The only type of model we can not accommodate are Slope Soarers!
The "Ultimate Flight Box" - a van complete with all the kit required for your days flying, including 12v power and a 240v generator. You can also load your models and equipment in the morning and evening so you don't even have to carry them! There is ample space available so once rigged models can be left complete during your stay.
Flying hours are 9:30 through to 18:00 with a break at lunchtime. Evening “Quiet” flying is available on the "Practice Area" through to sunset.
On site we have a workshop facility should you have a mishap! It is equiped with UK power sockets to provide a convienient place to charge Radio gear and models.
